Kristoffer Labuc
CEO & Founder
Kristoffer Labuc is ReCarber’s CEO and Founder, leading the company’s strategy, partnerships, and growth. He brings two decades of experience building and scaling businesses across finance, technology, and the energy transition. Before founding ReCarber, he served as CEO of Loomis Pay and held senior leadership roles at Klarna, driving international expansion and major commercial partnerships across Europe and the US.

Susanna Backman
CCO & Co-Founder
Susanna Backman is ReCarber’s Chief Commercial Officer, heading the company’s market strategy and buyer engagement. With 15 years of experience in B2B sales and corporate communications, she has advised brands such as IKEA, SEB, and EQT. At PwC and Interbrand, she specialized in go-to-market strategy and stakeholder communication, building credibility for complex sustainability initiatives in global markets.

Fredrik Norell
CFO & Co-Founder
Fredrik Norell is ReCarber’s Chief Financial Officer, responsible for investment structuring and project finance. With more than 15 years in infrastructure finance and renewable energy, he previously served as Investment Director at BlackRock, managing large-scale energy transition projects. At Element Power, he negotiated long-term offtake agreements with global corporates across European energy markets.

Sofia Törnroth
CLO & Co-Founder
Sofia Törnroth Nyberg is ReCarber’s Chief Legal Officer, overseeing project finance law, complex contracting, and regulatory compliance. She has over 15 years of legal experience, including senior positions at Danske Bank, where she led infrastructure financing and restructuring portfolios. Previously, she was Partner at Baker McKenzie and Counsel at Vinge, specializing in cross-border syndicated lending and project finance.

Alexia Genin
CTO & Co-Founder
Alexia Genin is ReCarber’s Chief Technical Officer, leading project development, technical due diligence, and partnerships with CCS stakeholders. She has 13 years of experience from TotalEnergies, managing major carbon storage projects across Europe, including Aramis in the Netherlands, Bifrost in Denmark, and Antwerp@C in Belgium. Her expertise spans investment evaluation, technology integration, and commercialization of large-scale carbon removal projects.

Martin Lantz
Sales Manager
Martin Lantz is ReCarber’s Sales Manager, responsible for advancing buyer relationships and structuring carbon removal offtake agreements. He brings experience from AFRY, where he advised utilities and industrials on CCS deployment and energy transition strategy, and from Alight, where he negotiated long-term power purchase agreements with global corporations. His expertise bridges technical insight with commercial execution.

Edvin Sjökvist
Project Manager
Edvin Sjökvist is ReCarber’s Project Manager, focusing on buyer intelligence, commercial analysis, and sales execution. He has built one of the Nordics’ most comprehensive carbon credit buyer databases, mapping market behavior and pricing trends. His previous experience in global B2B operations includes managing complex multi-stakeholder sales and pricing processes in digital and industrial sectors.

Josefine Falk
Commercial Project Manager
Josefine has previously worked at McKinsey & Company, Northvolt and the United Nations. She holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management, combining a strong analytical foundation with strategic and commercial experience across energy, clean-tech companies and large-scale industrial development.

She has held senior roles, such as VP of CCS at Shell, guiding strategy, policy, and implementation across the energy sector, helping advance safe and commercially viable CO₂ storage worldwide.

Elise Roc
Board Member & Senior Advisor
Elise Roc is a senior advisor with deep experience in energy transition and decarbonization. She has led major initiatives at TotalEnergies, including early solar investments and large-scale carbon storage projects such as Northern Lights JV. She helped shape EU carbon storage policy and secured the first commercial agreements for large-scale CCS, advancing the sector’s early commercialization.

Jakob Key
Board Member
Jakob Key brings over two decades of experience in building and scaling technology companies. As Co-Founder and General Partner at Luminar Ventures, he supports growth across the Nordic startup ecosystem. He contributes strategic guidance on partnerships, financing, and business development, leveraging his track record from leadership roles at Warner Music and extensive experience in venture-backed growth.

Helene Agering is a Partner at Spintop Ventures and a seasoned growth strategist with over 20 years of experience scaling technology companies. She specializes in commercial strategy, customer success, and organizational growth.

Kerstin Cooley
Board Member
Kerstin Cooley is Founder and Partner at Course Corrected VC, with a long career in venture capital and investment banking. She has co-founded leading Nordic funds and backed early-stage technology companies across climate, fintech, and digital innovation.
